Kelly Stables catapults onto the big screen to terrify audiences in DreamWorks' The Ring 2 as 'Samara,' the monstrous incarnation of a murdered little girl. The film is a much-anticipated sequel to 2002's The Ring, for which Kelly was first discovered by legendary make-up artist Rick Baker.
What lies behind the countless layers of make-up of the horrific 'Samara' may come as a shock to Ring audiences. Kelly is in fact a strikingly beautiful woman with a sweet, "all-American girl" demeanor. Her youthful voice won her the role of 'Will' on ABC Family Channel's animated series W.I.T.C.H. Kelly Stables also held the lead role of 'Lydia' in the independent film, Pride & Prejudice, currently out on DVD, and supporting roles in Universal Home Entertainment's Bring It On Again and Buena Vista Pictures' The Haunted Mansion.
Kelly hails from St. Louis, Missouri, where she rose to local fame dancing and singing at The Muny Opera while completing her bachelor's degree at the University of Missouri. Determined to pursue her career as an actress, Kelly Stables moved to Los Angeles after graduation and quickly landed television work with a role on FOX's pilot Boarding School, a recurring role on FOX's The Grubbs, and a stint on ABC's General Hospital.
In addition to her on-screen work, Kelly maintains a presence in local Los Angeles theatre, having starred as 'Marion Davies' in the world premiere musical W.R. and Daisy at Theatre West, and as 'Wendy' in the Thousand Oaks Civic Light Opera's production of Peter Pan. Kelly Stables also held the title roles in five of Lloyd Schwartz's Storybook Theatre musical productions.
Kelly is an avid baseball fan and sustains an undying devotion to her St. Louis Cardinals. She is also active in teaching children at her church and is interested in aiding the fight against Parkinson's disease.
